January Ice Storm in Kentucky. What was predicted to be up to 5 inches of ice turned out to be better than expected. Only about 1/2 inch or so. No Schools but the roads were in pretty good shape. We opened on time at 8:30am.

A family vacation offers R & R after a busy Christmas Season. The retail business demands a lot of my time during Christmas, it is nice to spend time with family on a ski vacation.

We will be closed for New Year’s Day and we will be closed on Friday 1-2-09 for our annual physical inventory. 

We will reopen on Saturday 1-3-09,  our regular Saturday hours, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

We had the good fortune of buying a rare 1893 S Morgan Silver Dollar this week. This is one of the most highly sought after coins by collectors.

Christmas Poinsettias from Gary Morse and Metcalf Wholesale Florists.  Each year we have beautifull poinsettias decorating our store for Christmas. We pick the ones from Metcalf Wholesale Florists because of Lee Major’s skill in growing them. Last year, ours bloomed through January.

Fantastic Blue Diamond Ring. This is a new ring just completed with a 1.41 carat blue diamond set in the center. The blue color is a result of a special treatment done that is permanent. The setting is of the Vintage Style and has diamonds everywhere. This will make a nice Christmas Stocking Stuffer………………
